Welcome to the Travellers' Rest set in the stunning Devonshire countryside, but only 4 miles from Exeter on the old A30. We are a short drive from the Centre of Exeter, Dartmoor and the coast, which makes this the ideal place for any Traveller to Rest!
The Travellers' Rest was a 16th Century Devonshire Coaching house that was once a regular meeting place for genteel folk travelling from London to Cornwall - and it still has a lot of it's original features.
The Travellers' Rest is in an idyllic setting, perfect for anyone wanting to enjoy a fine wine, several different beers (including guest, locally produced, as well as old favourites) and a lovingly homemade sumptuous lunch or dinner made from locally sourced produce.
The Travellers' Rest warmly welcomes all, and is dog friendly. There is ample parking and a Beer Garden with a lovely brook bubbling away in the background.
So if you want to try the best pub food and drink that Exeter has to offer then you need to look no further!

The Travellers' Rest - A perfect place to enjoy a drink or meal. You are welcome whether you are on your own or meeting friends, we will always be happy to see you.
As a Dog Friendly pub, we provide a small range of doggie treats, which are available from behind the bar.
For those of you with a 'Sweet Tooth', we have just started a small selection of 'Traditional' sweets in jars....served in a bag just as they were when you were a child! Available for all the kids....including the big ones (you know who you are!!!)
