Here at The Travellers Rest we believe in the traditional values of good food, good drink and most of all great service. My name is Tim and with my staff want to make your visit to us one that you will remember for a long time, having taken over the pub in August 2006 we have spent time working to give you the customer a wide choice of food and drink that will appeal to all tastes and at a price that will not hurt your pocket. My chefs Di & Andy have created a menu that will cater for every taste and are working all the time to create new and exciting meals they also produce all there own desserts so when we say homemade it is homemade. Food is served everyday lunchtime and evening 12 noon until 2pm and 6pm until 9pm (carvery is served Sunday from 12noon until 7.30pm) you can eat in either the bar or restaurant area and weather permitting the garden too. We also stock a varied selection of wines, a large selection of spirits and 3 real ales at all times along with lagers and an amazing pint of Guinness. We use local suppliers as much as possible because we can then be assured of not only the quality but also the freshness Our vegetables are supplied by STEERS GREENGROCERS. Our butchers are J & A GIBBINS. Other suppliers TAYLOR CATERING FOODS ABBOTTS PHILIP DENNIS FOODSERVICE We are aware that some people need certain dietry requirements and are happy to produce meals where possible to cater for these needs.Just give us a call to discuss your requirements. We also produce wheat and gluten free yorkshire puddings and gravy for our famous carvery. We serve fairtrade coffee and during summer we serve cream teas.
